Health Insurance

According to the Russian law, for entering the Russian Federation you must have a health insurance policy. You can obtain it back in your country or buy it in Russia. The policy should cover the entire period of your intended stay in Russia. The university may provide you with a list of insurance companies where you can by a voluntary health insurance policy.

International visitors are entitled to free health care only in emergency cases (acute illness, exacerbation of a life-threatening chronic disease). You can call an ambulance service from your mobile phone at 112 or 103.
